If you are being prescribed a repeat medication you can order the item when it becomes due by either:
- Handing in your repeat prescription request at the practice in person
- Posting your repeat request to the practice with a stamped self addressed envelope
- Ordering it electronically via the Patient Access Application, if you are already registered.
To avoid mistakes, the practice will only accept repeat prescription requests over the telephone for housebound patients.
Please note that you should not wait until you have you have run out of medication before you request your repeat medication as the practice requires administrative time to process all orders. Please allow up to 48 hours for the practice to process your repeat request.
Ordering repeat prescriptions electronically
For a more convenient service the practice has introduced electronic ordering of repeat prescriptions via our Patient Access Application. As it is important that your details are transmitted securely via a secure NHS connection you will need to register for this service before it can be used.
To register for the service you will be asked to fill in a few details to generate an account and asked to collect your login and password from the practice reception. When you come to collect your login and password you will need to bring photo identification to confirm your identity. The identification will need to be your passport or drivers license. If you do not possess one of these forms of identifications please contact the practice direct to make alternative arrangements.
